Interview With A Seven Year Old Thriller Fan

Recently one reader sent me this Q&A with his son, Sam Billington, who is a Thriller fan (and obviously a child with superior tastes!)  I thought it interesting as it shows the timeless appeal of the programme.

My Views on Thriller

by Sam Billington, aged 7.

Q. Hi Sam!  How would you describe Thriller?

A.  It's a sort of horror movie, but with not much violence, so it's ok for children I think.

Q.  When do you think Thriller was made?

A.  Er, the 1980s??

Q.  Do you think it looks old-fashioned?

A.  No... but other people might have other ideas!

Q.  What do you think of the music?

A.  I think it's sometimes better than what's actually on the screen... just sometimes!

Q.  What's the first Thriller story you can ever remember watching?

A.  I think it was 'Nurse will Make it Better'.  This had Diana Dors in, who I've seen in other things, and Patrick Troughton, who was Dr Who!

Q.  What's your favourite story at the moment?

A.  That's called 'I'm the Girl He Wants to Kill'.

Q.  What did you like about that episode?

A.  Well, it had a good plot, it was scary, basically it had all the things Thriller needs to make it good.

Q.  When did you start to think the story was scary then?

A.  When the guard got killed, because then I knew that the lady was locked in the building with only the murderer!!

Q.  Why does he want to kill her then?

A.  Er, because he's MAD!

Q.  What did you think of the ending?

A.  The ending was scary, and COOL!

Q.  And lastly, does it ever give you nightmares?

A.  NO!!

Thanks Sam, very good answers!
Keep watching.
